As I embarked on my journey back to London, a sense of familiarity washed over me. Little did I know that fate had led me to the very same hostel I booked a year ago. It wasn't until I noticed the WIFI password on the device that the memories came rushing back, and the place suddenly felt like an old friend.
Even the subway line remained unchanged, adding to the déjà vu. However, this time, the trip had an added charm as I encountered two friendly Taiwanese ladies who were touring the city alone. Being more familiar with the area, I happily lent a helping hand, even guiding a curious foreigner seeking directions to the Central Bus Station.
There was something special about being back in London. It felt like I was revisiting a cherished home, surrounded by familiar scenes that warmed my heart. Yet, this time, instead of staying in a spacy room, I opted for a backpacker's room at the hostel. I must admit, it came with its challenges, as one of my roommates was quite the snorer. Thankfully, my trusty earplugs saved the night.
Despite the minor inconveniences, jet lag was surprisingly easy to overcome. The rhythm of travel must have prepared me for such adjustments. It was an oddly delightful experience, leaving me amused and intrigued.
So, here I am, three days into my journey, basking in the comforting embrace of London. The city has transformed into yet another familiar place, like a well-worn favorite book that I could pick up and read over and over again.
