Today in Seoul, I attended an event that claimed to be an opportunity to make local Korean friends.
When I arrived, I found out the place was actually an English cramming school.
I went to learn Korean, but I ended up conducting an English lesson again.
They said:
"You're a natural.
I can tell you've got experience, and you're good at leading the room.
Through this so-called "Meeting Real Korean Friends" event, I learned a lot about how they Korean think.
They often throw me questions like:
"Is it like this in Taiwan?"
"What's it like in Taiwan?"
They asked so much that my mouth felt sore for it 😂
In fact, I also learned that they're not as xenophobic as people say
They're also interested in foreign cultures.
This is one of the articles we discussed.
And we found some things in common East Asia with some subtle differences.
All in all, it was really an interesting language exchange experience for sure!
